Read `macros/notation.tex` and list the commands it defines.  Then check every file in `sections/` and `appendix/`:

1. Find each piece of math (`$...$`, `\(...\)`, `\[...\]`, and the equation, align and similar environments) that writes a symbol directly, in place of a macro from `macros/notation.tex`: a letter, a Greek letter, `\mathcal{...}`, `\mathsf{...}` and the like.
2. Find each command defined in `macros/notation.tex` that no file in `sections/` or `appendix/` uses.

Edit no file.  Output two numbered lists: the first with the file, the line, the math and the macro to use, or "new macro needed"; the second with the unused commands.
